About Me
Alnita earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from East Carolina University in 2007 and earned her master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in 2013. Alnita has worked in the behavioral health field for the past 19 years starting as a 1:1 direct care support staff, advancing to program management at local behavioral health provider agencies, to working part of the Managed Care Organization (7 years total in her career), to currently owning her own Outpatient Therapy Private Practice, named Betters Days Counseling Services, PLLC. Alnita is the lead Psychotherapist at BDCS and provides virtual counseling services to individuals and families ages 14+. Common challenges that she can treat include but are not limited to: Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Complex Grief, Trauma and Stress Related Disorders, Impulse Control, Conduct Disorders, and Substance Related and Addictive Disorders. Since an early age, Alnita has been passionate about helping others navigate the challenges that they face in their life so that they can become healed and whole to achieve their goals! In her free time Alnita enjoys spending time with her fur baby, “Nelly Jelly”, writing, signing, traveling, and making handmade jewelry.
